* Indicates that a remote party was not involved.

In general, if the Clearing Party field for a call leg in a voice call is populated with R, then the field for the other call leg is populated with L. It is, however, possible to see the same value on both call legs:

Value on both call legs

Meaning

R

Both parties ended their legs of the call simultaneously.

L

This indicates that the storm user ended the call by clicking the Disconnect button in storm DTA. For an internal call, it is not possible to identify the clearing party.

If the storm user did not disconnect the call from the DTA, then this value indicates an error.

Note: L is written to all other text-based communication legs.

Remarks

R stands for 'Remote' meaning remote to storm; it indicates that the clearing party was the caller or guest (who is considered to be remote to storm) and not the storm platform or user. Conversely, L stands for 'Local' meaning local to storm; it indicates that the clearing party was the storm platform or user and not the outside caller or guest.
