Communication Type

This data export field indicates the type of interaction on the communication leg.

The field value is written to every communication leg generated in an interaction.

Possible Values

One of the following values is written to a record (communication leg):

Value	Description
F	Finished call, indicating a voice communication.
M	Message. This indicates a text-based communication and is either an SMS text message, an email, or a social media message. Use the Message Type field to see the exact message type.
I	Instant Message. This indicates a web chat session.
