This topic applies to users who are using the DTA Web iPath telephone device for making and receiving calls.

Auto-answer |

Play DTMF Tones |
On. Each keypress on the Dialpad WILL generate an audible tone Off. Each keypress on the Dialpad will NOT generate an audible tone (default). Click the control to change its state. |

Enable Echo Cancellation |
Off. Any echo on the line is NOT being cancelled (default). On. Any echo on the line IS being cancelled. You can switch this on at any time (including mid call) when audio quality is poor. |

Enable Noise Suppression |
Off. Any noise on the line is NOT being suppressed (default). On. Any echo on the line IS being suppressed. You can switch this on at any time (including mid call) when audio quality is poor. |

Web iPath Active |
This control is NOT available during call setup (phone ringing or dialling out) or mid call. Active. All calls will be made and received on the integrated DTA Web iPath. Not active. You will not be able to make or receive calls unless you are connected to storm via another telephone device. Switch to this state if you want to use your storm-registered deskphone to make and receive calls instead of Web iPath. You may need to activate your deskphone. See storm-registered Deskphone Users. Click the control to change its state. |

Ringing and Auto Answer Volume |
Use this to set the volume of your ring tone as well as the audio that is played by DTA Web iPath when auto-answering calls. To adjust the volume, either click anywhere on the slider, or click and drag the circle along the slider.
For incremental control, either click the plus or minus buttons, or press the keyboard arrow keys when the circle is in focus (it is in focus when bordered by a light blue line as pictured above). Note: storm prevents you from muting the volume completely. The volume of the audio during a call is set using the Volume Control button on the Comms Panel - Phone Tab. |

Use these options to control the devices to use: Note: if no settings are shown, the system has been unable to detect your microphone or speakers. The ability to select devices as described in this section needs to be enabled if you are using Firefox as your browser. Consult your account manager or support representative for further information.
