Create a Call Park
A call park allows a user to transfer a caller to a call park (park the call) using a call park extension number while moving to another device to resume (unpark) the call.
- If you are using a hardphone, transfer the call to the call park extension, then dial the call park extension to retrieve it.
- If you are using a device other than a hardphone, transfer the call to the call park extension, then dial ** followed by the call park extension.
Only one call can be parked in a call park but you can create as many call parks as required.
- Select Routing > Extensions > Extension Mapping.
- Use the Extension drop-down list to select the extension to assign to a call park.
- Use the Mapping Type drop-down list to select 'Call Park'.
- Click Update Assignment.
- To change the call park timeout and/or hold music, select Routing > Extensions > Edit Call Park Extension.
- Use the Extension drop-down list to choose an assigned call park extension.
- Edit the call park hold music and call park timeout parameters as required and then click Update Extension.
