Upload Audio Prompts

You are able to upload .wav files for use when configuring storm to provide hold music, whisper prompts and voicemail greetings.

Audio files must be A-law/mu-law/16-bit (linear) PCM for .wav files, and OKI ADPCM for .vox files. The sampling rate must be 8Khz, mono. During upload, the system attempts to convert files not matching this format but quality cannot be guaranteed. The part of the file name before the extension must conform to Microsoft conventions. 3-byte Unicode characters are supported.

  1. Select Organisations > Configure Prompts.

  1. To upload a new file, click the Upload New Prompt(s) button. (You can upload a single file, or several files at once, if they are of the same type.)

  1. Select the type of file (call hold, voicemail or service) using the Prompt Type field.
  2. Use the Browse button on the Select File(s) field to navigate to, and select, the required file(s) for upload
  3. If you are uploading a single file, use the Prompt Name field to provide a name for it in storm. (By default, and if you are uploading more than one file at once, the name of the underlying file is used, minus the .wav extension.)
  4. Click the Upload Prompts button to perform the upload.

An error message is shown if you attempt to upload the same file more than once. A confirmation screen is displayed following a successful upload.
