SMS
Sends an SMS message to one or more destinations. |
The text can be free form, formatted, or content from a stored text file.
Free Form Message
Select this to create an unformatted message. In the Message Contents field, either type the message (preceded by =) or use a local string variable. Using a variable offers the advantage of formatting the message with placeholders using the Format String action cell.
Selecting Message From Media List
Select this to use a message from a media list created in the storm Admin Portal.
Use the Select Media List option to select the file from the options list and then select Text File to choose a text file in the media list or select Use Dynamic Text File to use a local string variable containing the name of the text file:
Use the Use Dynamic Media List option to use a local string variable containing the name of the media list and then use a local string variable containing the name of the text file in the media list.
Destination Address
The number to which the SMS will be sent (a literal value or a local string variable).
Presentation Address
The number or text value to be used as the presentation address (CLI) that is seen by the message recipient (a literal value or a local string variable).
Do not deliver SMS after certain time
A network will try to send the submitted message as soon as possible and will keep trying if this is not possible (for example, due to poor radio reception). Select the check box to set an expiry period after which the network should not attempt to send the message in such a case. Use the Time after message sent option to specify a period measured from when the action cell submitted the message, or use the Fixed date option to select an absolute date.
Send as Mobile Internet Link
This is used to support devices that do not support modern internet browsers
Select this to instruct the action cell to send a message with a link to the message content, which, when clicked, allows access to the message content over the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) standard.

For best results, use standard American National Standards Institute (ANSI) characters in the range 32-126 for the text message.
If a free-format message contains characters outside the ASCII 0-127 range:
The maximum character count for a single message is 70 instead of 160
If the message requires multiple parts, the number of characters per part is 67, instead of 153.
