Prompt Re-record

Changes the content of an audio file.

This allows a user in your organisation to dial in and change an audio prompt quickly. It is useful in disaster recovery situations where immediate action is required to communicate with your customers.

This tab is for choosing the prompt to re-record.

Media List/Prompt to re-record

Use the Select Media List option to select the media list containing the audio file to re-record. Then, either use the Select Prompt options list to select the file or the Use Dynamic Prompt option to use a local string variable containing the names of the file.

Alternatively, use the Use Dynamic Media List option to use a local string variable containing the name of the media list and then use a local string variable containing the name of the file in the media list.

Silence Timeout

Select the number of seconds of silence after which recording will stop.

Stop recording on keypress

Select this to force the caller to press a key to stop recording.

This tab is for configuring the audio prompts to play to the caller to guide them through the re-record operation.

Media List/prompts

Use the Select Media List option to select the media list containing the audio files to use for the following audio prompts supported in this action cell:

Then, either use the Select... options lists to select the files or use the Use Dynamic... options to use local string variables containing the names of the files.

Alternatively, use the Use Dynamic Media List option to use a local string variable containing the name of the media list and then use a local string variable containing the name of the file in the media list.

When the new prompt has been committed successfully or the operation cancelled by the caller.

Error

If the prompt to re-record or any media files configured on the Media tab could not be located. Also taken if a system error occurs causing the new prompt to remain uncommitted. The original prompt remains in effect.

It is recommended that you design the script to loop around to allow the caller to reattempt the operation.
