Copy Prompt

Copies content from one audio file to another.

This allows a user in your organisation to dial in and change and change a prompt quickly. For example, to overwrite a Welcome message with a disaster recovery message during an emergency.

Properties

Source Media List/Source Prompt

Use the Select Media List option to select the media list containing the audio file whose content you wish to copy and then either use the Select Prompt option to select the file or use the Use Dynamic Prompt option to use a local string variable containing the name of the file.

Alternatively, use the Use Dynamic Media List option to use a local string variable containing the name of the media list and then use a local string variable containing the name of the file in the media list.

Destination Media List/Destination Prompt

Select the target audio file in the same manner as the source file.

When the prompt has copied successfully.

Error

If any media files configured could not be located. Also taken if a system error occurs causing the new prompt to remain uncommitted. The original prompt remains in effect.

It is recommended that you design the script to loop around to allow the caller to reattempt the operation.
