Create Delivery Points for storm FLOW

A delivery point is a call destination (such as the number of a contact centre) for use in FLOW action cells. Any delivery points that you create can be used by administrators who have a FLOW licence. Delivery points can also be grouped together into delivery point groups.

Creating a Delivery Point

  1. From the STUDIO main screen, select Service Configuration > Delivery Points.

  1. Click the + New Delivery Point button:

  1. Name the delivery point and specify an outbound number and the maximum number of simultaneous calls allowed to this delivery point from any storm service (for example to limit the calls to the number of available agents).

Note: selecting the Disabled check box prevents calls from being routed to this delivery point. Wherever the delivery point is referenced in FLOW, it is skipped.

  1. Click Save.

Creating a Delivery Point Group

  1. From the STUDIO main screen, select Service Configuration > Delivery Point Groups.

  1. Click the New Delivery Point Group button:

  1. Name the delivery point group and click  to add the predefined delivery points to the group:

  1. Choose a routing method for the delivery points:

Routing method

Description

Sequential

The system attempts to place the call to each delivery point in the listed order.

Weighted

The system attempts to place the call to just one of the delivery points based on a percentage split defined within the delivery point group. This allows delivery point groups and delivery points to be used sequentially in the Outbound Call action cell; the service attempts to place the call to a weighted delivery point group first, but will then attempt a delivery point if the service fails to connect to the number provided by the delivery point group.

Note: selecting the Disabled check box prevents calls from being routed to this delivery point group. Wherever the delivery point is referenced in FLOW, it is skipped.
