Claim (Cherry-Pick) a Queued Email or Social Media Message

You may be allowed to cherry-pick waiting emails or social media messages from a queue.

Note: the type of message is indicated by the icon to the left of the message. For Facebook and Twitter queues, the cherry-picking option is only available for direct messages, not public messages.

  1. Click the Menu MenuButton.png button and then select Queue View.
  2. Select the queue group or 'All' to see waiting messages.

  1. Click the message you wish to claim (already claimed messages appear in blue). The message opens in a panel to the left.

  1. Click the Take Ownership button. This moves the message to your personal queue.
  2. Respond to the message. You might be granted a limited amount of time to respond to a claimed message. When this time is coming to an end and you have not yet responded, a warning is displayed from which you can request more time. Not doing so returns the message to the original queue and your status is set to 'Unavailable'.
